Willem Griffiths is a biologist and research assistant at the Biology and the Built Environment Center. His background in ecology and molecular genetics propels his applied microbiology research at BioBE. His current research investigates the role of building material in shaping the indoor microbiome. He aims to integrate biology and architecture to help design indoor spaces that promote human health and environmental sustainability. In his free time Willem enjoys cycling, skiing, whitewater rafting, and botanizing.
