Andreas Olsen Martinez is a masters student in biology: bioinformatics and genomics at the University of Oregon and a microbiology technician in the Institute for Health in the Built Environment. He holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental studies (climate change and ecological adaptation) and a certificate of mastery in geospatial information science. His current focuses include environmental DNA monitoring, SARS-COV-2 detection and spread mitigation, computational genomics, data science and microbial ecology. Andreas has previously worked on ecological spatio-temporal analysis, endangered species monitoring and mapping, biological control and natural resource enhancement projects.
