MoBeDAC – Microbiome of the Built environment Data Analysis Center – had it’s kick-off meeting February 10, 2011 in Chicago.  This Alfred P. Sloan Foundation funded center will coordinate a data repository to house next generation architectural, environmental, and community genomic data.  Jeff Kline and Dale Northcutt outlined opportunities for MoBeDAC and BioBE to work in collaboration to advance built environment research.  The BioBE Center contributed to the meeting via skype, captured in image below (courtesy Jonathan Eisen).
